Story Time: Bev and Gene

I'm a little late posting this story time, BUT, I couldn't let the moment pass without sharing the bittersweet details of this transaction.

Bev and Gene signing a real estate contract

This is my aunt + uncle...Aunt Bev watched me as a little kid and has always been a large part of my life. She hosted my wedding shower, baby shower(s) and is also the firstborn to my grandparents; the second matriarch of our family and often the host and planner of all extended family gatherings. She is special.

Aunt Bev + Uncle Gene have lived in the same house for FORTY NINE YEARS. As they are aging, they realized it was time to downsize and although their knees were ready for the move, truth is, they aren't quite ready. The 1/2 acre lot and bi-level floorplan just don't warrant a happy and healthy living environment for the upcoming years. When we were getting ready to list, Aunt Bev; who always has a way of making things magical and serendipitous, joked that we should list the house on April 12...forty nine years TO THE DAY they bought it! We did and by April 13th, we had an offer!

Our offer was from THE Buyer who dreamt of this home for years. Above list price, two months free rent back and a smooth and easy transaction! The Buyers and Sellers met each other at the final walk thru....something that is rare, but oh so special when it happens. Now Aunt Bev + Uncle Gene can close this beautiful chapter and know the family who will call it home for {hopefully} many, many years to come.

Congratulations Aunt Bev + Uncle Gene! Now the challenge of finding you the BEST place to call Home for this next phase of life. Love you!
