Story Time: Dawn and Tim

Just sold Woodmar Square in Littleton

Littleton, CO

Dawn and Tim and I met about six months ago. They had found me online and during our Buyer Consultation, they shared that they were moving back to Colorado after Tim's retirement from the military. They were ready to find their new home.

Dawn moved back early while staying with a friend in Arvada and starting the home search. For a few weekends, we drove neighborhoods to get a feel of the top areas, we started to schedule tours and week after week we were getting closer. The moment we stepped in W. Walker Dr. all of us were elated. The kitchen was absolutely stunning; a complete renovation, the island is larger than most kitchens, the green cabinets with brass hardware, the Cafe Appliances, built-in everything...Everything in the house was darn near perfect.

We immediately decided what offer price we were comfortable with and presented our offer to the Sellers. We were in 1st place at 8pm Saturday but by 10am Sunday they had an offer $ FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS HIGHER THAN OURS. We weren't comfortable paying that for this home, given the comparable sales and so, we let it go.

About 8 days later, I received a phone call from the Sellers agent stating that the over-zealous Buyers had a "change of heart" and had decided to terminate their contract. The house wasn't automatically ours, but if we wanted to re-write the Sellers would review all offers that evening. We wrote the same offer, same terms and this time we beat the competition; while still presenting an offer we felt comfortable with.

Dawn and Tim, I know its been a wild ride and I am sure you are so glad to be moved in. I hope you are incredibly happy in your beautiful home for years and years to come.

Welcome Home
