Story Time: A Salute to Dale

A referral from a past client is always the BEST way to start off a day! I always love when I get to play 'connect the dots' and figure out who referred me and how they are connected to someone I have helped in the past. This was no exception.

I immediately hit it off with Rebecca and her father, Dale. Dale was realizing, much to his dismay, the reality of his health and age. Mentally, he is sharp as a tack, but for his safety and overall health, the family decided it was time for him to sell his home of 20+ years and move near his daughter in South Carolina.

Dale and I really hit it off right from the start. He was a Vietnam Vet and besides the obvious, I am not sure why, but I have always just found a special place in my heart for our Vets. I step up to the plate with a little extra 'fight' in me to do right by the men and women who FOUGHT for US without knowing US. Dale was a pleasure to work with and hearing his views, opinions and stories were such a delight. We all sat down and came up with a strategy; did he want to sell as-is without making any repairs and sell for a slightly lower price OR make a few minor updates and make a bit more. Ultimately, he decided on the latter and with the help of my recommended vendors, we came up with a great plan!

Under Contract in a few short days and SOLD above list price! Dale, I hope you enjoy many, many years with your daughter and extended family and enjoy your new home in SC. Rest well, my friend. You've worked hard and you deserve it!
